No. Our embroidered cashmere stoles combine artisanal work with precise semi-automatic embroidery. This method makes it possible to create detailed and regular floral patterns while maintaining careful finishes and a more accessible price than fully hand-embroidered pieces.
Cashmere and pashmina can come from the same Himalayan regions, but the fibre selection is different. Cashmere can be collected from different parts of the goat, while pashmina traditionally refers to an especially fine down from certain goat breeds, particularly selected from the chest, neck and beard area. In our collection, the embroidery also differs: our cashmere stoles are embroidered using a semi-automatic process, while our hand-embroidered pashminas are entirely worked with a needle by artisans.
An embroidered cashmere stole should be washed gently by hand in cold or slightly lukewarm water with a small amount of detergent suitable for cashmere. Avoid rubbing or twisting the embroidery, rinse gently, then leave the stole to dry flat, away from direct heat.
