How to Wash and Care for Cashmere and Silk

Tips for washing and caring for cashmere and silk
Take care of your delicate fibres with these simple but essential care tips. By following these recommendations, you will extend the lifespan of your cashmere scarf or your silk stole, while gently removing small everyday stains.
Hand washing (recommended)
Use cold or lukewarm water (between 10°C and 30°C maximum).
Prefer a natural soap or baby shampoo.
Do not rub or wring the fabric. Rinse thoroughly, then gently press out the water by hand.

Machine washing (with care)
Choose a “wool” cycle at a maximum of 30°C.
Place the stole in a protective laundry bag.
Use a mild soap or baby shampoo, without fabric softener.
Do not exceed 600 rpm for the spin cycle.

Drying and ironing
Dry flat, away from direct sunlight.
Iron at a medium temperature using the “wool” setting.
For embroidered pieces, always iron on the reverse side.

Tip
Add 3 drops of white vinegar during the first wash only for stoles dyed with natural (plant-based) dyes, to help fix the colours.
